Mississippi Bend AEA’s Telepresence Robot

One of this year’s grant recipients is the Mississippi Bend Area Education Agency (ACA) based in Bettendorf, Iowa. Happy Joe’s Kids Foundation provided the funds to purchase a Double 3 Telepresence Robot for the agency. Home-bound students can use the robot to be digitally present in the classrooms and halls of the school they attend. The robot is controlled by the student from home, allowing them to navigate the school, ask and answer questions and communicate face-to-face with classmates.
