Happy Joe’s 40th Anniversary Celebration

This year, in honor of his 40th Anniversary, Happy Joe’s is planning one of the biggest Special Needs events to ever hit the Quad Cities. An entire day of activities to honor Happy Joe and benefit Special Needs children in the Midwest has been planned for November 20th, 2012.

Plans are in the works to begin the day with a celebrity inspirational speaker at a catered breakfast, followed by seminars and presenters where families and caregivers alike can find information and make connections within the Special Needs community.  The seminars will be held in conjunction with a vendor show throughout the iWireless Center, with booths representing companies from across the nation.  This will be followed in the afternoon by our Special Needs Party on the arena of the iWireless Center with a meal of Happy Joe’s pizza.  We are going to attempt a World Record for the Longest Conga Line at this party led by Happy Joe Whitty himself—and are pretty sure we can succeed! After our Special Needs Party, there will be a dinner, Silent Auction and awards banquet, recognizing those in the community who have given so much of themselves to helping others.

Finally, this day will conclude with a concert-type event, open to the general public, with all proceeds going toward the Happy Joe’s Kid’s Foundation, which Happy Joe started this year with the intent to assist Special Needs Children throughout the Midwest.

An event like this, with a goal of raising $150,000 for the Happy Joe’s Kid’s Foundation, cannot happen without community support. From volunteer hours to corporate donations, everyone is invited to be a part of this experience to make a difference in the community, and to help make a difference in the life of a child.
